Description
The Old School is a building that dates back to 1860 and was designed by William White. Originally a school, it has now been converted into a house. The structure is made of coursed rubble with freestone dressings and features a plain tile roof with coped raised verges. It is laid out in an L-shape and showcases an early Gothic architectural style, highlighted by a gabled cross wing on the left side. This wing includes a 2-light trefoil-headed window with a quatrefoil light above it, and a bellcote that projects from the apex, topped with a cross finial. The main section of the building on the right is set back behind a gabled porch and has a single-storey, projecting gabled wing. There are two chimneys, one of which is lateral, and a 2-light square-headed window on the right side.
