Description

No. 27 Folgate Street is a building dating from around 1725 that has been rebuilt using yellow stock bricks. It stands three storeys tall with a basement and features three windows. The roof is not visible, and there is a coped parapet. The building has sash windows, which are replacements, set within segmental arches. The doorway is in a plain, round-headed recessed arch and includes a plain fanlight along with a fluted architrave that has corner medallions. This building is part of a group that includes the road surface of Folgate Street, specifically Nos 5 to 11 (odd), 11A, Nos 17 to 21 (odd), and Nos 6 to 18 (even).
