Description
No. 35 Albury Street is an early 18th-century house that has had part of its front rebuilt. It stands three storeys high with a sunken basement and features four windows. The building is constructed of multicoloured stock brick and has a parapet. The sash windows, which have red brick arches and glazing bars, are mostly replacements set in old flush moulded frames. There are recessed panels below the first and ground floor windows, while the lower part of the ground floor is rendered. The entrance door consists of eight fielded panels and is topped with a cornice head and a rectangular fanlight, all set within a moulded architrave. The door is flanked by panelled pilasters and features a pulvinated frieze and a cornice hood supported by elaborate carved brackets. The Greater London Council plans to restore the building. Nos. 13 to 45 (odd) form a group with this property.
