Description

These are early 18th-century houses with 19th-century facades, located at 39 and 41 Albury Street, London. Each house is two storeys high with an attic, and has a single window. They have slate mansard roofs with one square dormer window. The recessed sash windows have glazing bars and are set within stucco reveals. The ground floor windows are topped with gauged flat brick arches, and the first-floor windows with cambered arches. A round-arched opening leads to a six-panel door, which has a cornice head and a radial fanlight. The houses were once designated for restoration by the Greater London Council. Numbers 13 to 45 (the odd numbers) form a group.
