Description

No 23 Elder Street is a building dating from around 1720. It has three storeys, a basement, and dormers, featuring four windows. The front is covered in later stucco and painted pink. There is an enriched bed at the cornice band above the ground floor, and a moulded main cornice with a blocking course. The ground floor has pilaster treatment with enriched caps. The roof is tiled, and the windows have segmental heads with architrave surrounds. This building is part of a group with Nos 1 to 23 (odd) and Nos 24 to 36 (even) on Elder Street, as well as Nos 9 and 10, and the road surface of Fleur de Lys Street.
