Description

No. 17 Elder Street dates to approximately 1720 and is similar in appearance to No. 15. A notable feature is a blank window on the third floor. The front door is set within a decorative doorcase, which includes fluted pilasters and a frieze decorated with a lozenge pattern. The building forms part of a group with Nos. 1 to 23 (odd numbers) and 24 to 36 (even numbers) on Elder Street, alongside Nos. 9 and 10, and with the road surface of Fleur de Lys Street.
