Description
160 and 162 Camberwell Grove are a pair of houses built around 1840. They are constructed of stucco and feature a low-pitched hipped slate roof behind a pediment on the slightly projecting central section, with a cornice and parapet on the outer bays. The houses are two storeys high with a raised basement, each having two bays. There are steps leading up to the entrances located in the outer bays, which have prostyle porches with a dentil cornice. The porch of No.162 includes Ionic capitals, while No.160 is missing its cornice. The windows are casement style, with larger windows in the central section on both the ground and first floors set in giant, slightly recessed segmental-headed panels. The ground floor windows also feature stucco and cast-iron balconies. The interior has not been inspected. These houses, along with Nos 144-166, form a group.
