Description
The monument to Thomas Force is located in Dulwich Old Burial Ground and dates from 1827. It consists of a large stone slab set on a low base, surrounded by tall railings featuring two levels of spearheads. The monument is marked K on the plan and is situated to the right of the entrance gates, just west of the Thompson tomb. The burial ground itself was consecrated in 1616 and is notable for not being adjacent to any church or chapel. This monument is part of a group that includes the 18th-century gates, walls, and railings of Dulwich Old Burial Ground.
