Description
No. 75 on Clapham Road is a mid-19th century villa that stands two stories tall with a basement and features three windows. The building is constructed of stock brick, accented with lighter brick quoins, and may have originally been stuccoed. The basement is finished in stucco with incised lines, a frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course. The ground floor sash windows have moulded architraves set in segment-headed stuccoed recesses, and they are topped with projecting bracketed cills. Access to the villa is via six rebuilt steps leading to a door with two long panels, which is set in a panelled reveal adorned with a fluted architrave and an oblong fanlight, all within a prostyle Tuscan porch.
