Description
This is an early 19th-century symmetrical terrace of three houses, situated on Brixton Road. The central house is slightly set back from the others. Each house is three storeys high with a basement, and has two windows. The outer houses have a recessed entrance link and a band at the second-floor level. The buildings are of stock brick with a cemented parapet – the cornice is missing. The basement and ground floor are stuccoed, featuring rustication that creates the appearance of voussoirs (wedge-shaped stones) around the round-arched doorways and window recesses. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The upper floors have flat gauged brick arches above the windows, with long, first-floor windows featuring ornamental cast iron balconies. The ground-floor windows have round-headed arches and some radial glazing. The doorways have six-panel doors, a cornice head, and patterned fanlights.
