Description

These are two mid-19th century pairs of houses located on Lansdowne Gardens. Each house is two storeys and has a basement, with two windows apiece. The houses are built of stock brick with a rusticated stucco basement. Giant pilasters with stuccoed capitals support the soffit of the relatively low-pitched slate roof, which has a central chimney wall. The windows are sash windows with broad margin lights set under elliptical heads, featuring radial glazing patterns and situated within gauged brick arches. Projecting, bracketed cills are present on the ground floor. There are eight steps leading to half-glazed four-panel doors, each topped with a rectangular fanlight, and set within prostyle Ionic porches.
