Description
49 and 51 Lansdowne Gardens is a mid-19th century pair of houses, each two storeys high with a basement and featuring two windows. They are constructed of stock brick and have a moderately pitched slated roof. The eaves soffit is supported by full-height pilasters with stuccoed capitals. The basement is banded in stucco. The houses have sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded architraves, which are eared on the first floor. The ground floor features console bracketed cornices and projecting sills with ornamental cast iron guards. Access is via eight steps leading to half-glazed four-panel doors, which are topped with rectangular fanlights, all within prostyle Ionic porches.
