Description
Nos 52 and 54 Lansdowne Gardens is an early to mid 19th century pair of houses, each featuring two storeys and a basement with two windows. Number 52 has a set-back added right bay with a parapet. The main block has a pitched roof with an eaves soffit. The houses are constructed of stock brick and include six full-height pilasters with stuccoed capitals. A cill band runs behind the pilasters on the first floor. The sash windows, which have glazing bars and margin lights, are set in moulded architraves, with the first-floor windows being eared. The ground floor features console bracketed cornices and projecting cills. Access to the doors, which consist of two long panels with rectangular fanlights, is via seven steps. These doors are set back behind moulded architraves with entablatures and a blocking course above. The ground floor windows are protected by cast iron guards.
