Description

The buildings at 48 and 50 Lansdowne Gardens are an early to mid-19th century pair of houses. Each house is three storeys high with a basement, and features two windows. The exterior is of stock brick, with a stuccoed basement. The roofs are hipped and slate-covered, with deep eaves featuring paired brackets. A recess sits on the central axis, and the basement is stuccoed. The sash windows have glazing bars, with those on the ground floor recessed and framed with gauged flat brick arches. A stuccoed impost string runs above the ground floor windows, extending into the cornice head of the five-panel doors. These doors are accessed by six steps and have quadrant pilasters and a plain fanlight.
