Description
78, 80, and 82 Camberwell New Road is an early to mid-19th century terrace of houses, each standing two storeys high with an attic and basement, featuring three windows. Nos 78 and 82 have an additional outer bay, with No 82 including a doorway. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have a stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course. They feature a slated mansard roof with a dormer and a stuccoed basement. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set under gauged brick arches, with the ground floor windows being round-headed. Access to the properties is via seven steps, which are complemented by patterned cast iron handrails, leading to four-panel doors that are adorned with widely fluted quadrant pilasters, a cornice head, and a patterned fanlight. The terrace is included for its group value.
