Description
Nos 168, 170, and 172 on Camberwell New Road are an early to mid-19th century terrace of three storeys with a basement, each featuring two windows. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have a stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course, although No 168 has lost its cornice. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are set in stucco-lined reveals and are topped with gauged brick arches. The ground floor windows are round-headed and situated in round-arched recesses, which have a stucco impost string. Access to the properties is via seven steps that feature patterned cast iron handrails, leading to six-panel doors topped with a cornice head on fluted pilasters and a plain fanlight.
