Description

WANDSWORTH ROAD SW8 1. (east side) 5023 Nos 553, 555 and 557 TQ 2976 11/1028 18.6.74 II

  1. Early-mid C19 terrace, each 2 storeys and basement, 2 windows. Stock brick with altered parapet (original -cornice missing). Stuccoed basement and first floor cill band. Gauged brick arches to sash windows with glazing bars, those on ground floor round-headed in round-arched recesses with stone impost blocks and cills. Six steps, with wrought iron handrails, to door of 5 beaded panels with fluted quadrant pilasters, cornice head and radial fanlight.
