Description

This is a row of four early to mid-19th century houses, numbered 84, 86, 88 and 90, located on Camberwell New Road. The houses are arranged in two linked pairs, with a coach house extension to the right of each pair. Each house is two stories high, with an attic and basement, and features two windows in the main block and one in a recessed entrance bay. The construction is of stock brick with a stucco frieze, cornice and blocking course. The roof is slated with a mansard design and includes a single dormer window. The sash windows have glazing bars, with the ground floor windows having a rounded head. A stuccoed basement is present. Seven steps, with plain wrought iron handrails, lead to the four-panel doors, which have widely-fluted quadrant pilasters, a cornice head, and patterned fanlights.
