Description
This is a detached house built in 1862 as part of the planned layout of Holland Park. It is constructed of stucco and has three storeys, an attic, and a basement. The house is three bays wide, arranged symmetrically as 1:1:1. The ground floor is characterised by channelling, and a central entrance is reached by steps flanked by Doric half columns. Each side features a two-storey canted bay window with Corinthian pilasters to the upper storey. Pilasters also define the outer windows on the second floor. A small balustraded balcony is positioned in front of the central second-floor window. A rich cornice runs along the top of the main elevation, above which the attic has been remodelled. Cast iron balconies are present on the ground floor.
