Description
No. 2 Holland Park is a detached house built in 1862. It is constructed of stucco and has three storeys, an attic, and a basement. The house is three bays wide and features a symmetrical design. The ground floor has channelling and steps leading up to a central entrance flanked by Doric half columns. On either side of the entrance, there are two-storey canted bay windows with Corinthian pilasters on the upper storey. The second floor has pilasters at the outer windows, and there are small balustraded balconies at the central window. A rich cornice runs along the top, and the balustraded parapet includes three dormers, with the outer two being pedimented and the inner one featuring chimney outlets. Additionally, there is a cast iron balcony on the ground floor. This house is part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
