Description
No. 133 Offord Road is a single house built in the 1840s. It is constructed of brown stock brick laid in Flemish bond, with a channelled stucco ground floor, a first-floor storey band, and decorative dressings. The roof is a mansard style covered with Welsh slate and features two dormers. The house has a central hall plan and is double fronted, standing two storeys tall with a basement and attic. It has a three-window range, with a one-window ground-floor extension to the right.
Steps lead up to the central entrance, which is framed by a projecting porch with antae on either side of a panelled door, topped with a projecting cornice and a blocking course. The windows include 6/6 architraved sashes, with full-length sashes on the ground floor and a central sash on the first floor that has a bracketed cornice. The first-floor sashes on either side are adorned with pediments. The house features a modillioned stucco cornice and a blocking course. The ground-floor extension has concrete rendering beneath the architraved sash and a stone coping. The interior retains fine original features.
