Description
No. 18 Rishworth Street is a house built around 1840. It is constructed of red-brown brick in an irregular Flemish garden wall bond and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central door, which is accessed by a step, has four raised and fielded panels in the upper part and an overlight with glazing bars. This door is set within a wooden doorcase that includes pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The windows are 16-pane sashes, except for the 12-pane sash located above the door. All windows have slightly cambered brick arches and projecting stone sills. There is a truncated stack at the right end of the house. This property is depicted on the 1848 Wakefield plan.
