Description
This is a group of five working-class cottages, originally built around 1822. The cottages are numbered 19 to 24 on Shepherds Bush Place and form a group with the cottages numbered 1 to 18. The cottages are constructed of yellow stock brick, with number 19 rendered. They have slate roofs and are two storeys high with two windows each. The cottages have a double-depth plan. The doorways have round arches, which were originally topped with fanlights, now blocked, and have 20th-century doors. The windows are recessed sash windows with brick arches. The interiors largely retain their original form and plan, with many cottages featuring plain panelling, dogleg staircases that have a column newel, plain stick balusters, and moulded handrails.
