Description
This is a group of four cottages, numbered 14 to 17, built around 1830 to 1850. They are laid out symmetrically. The cottages are constructed of red brick, with number 14 having a painted facade. They have a common, low-pitched hipped slate roof with flat eaves. Each cottage has one window, featuring recessed wooden sash windows with intact glazing bars and flat arches. The doors, along with the ground-floor windows of cottages 15 and 16, are set back in a recess, framed by a wooden entablature and supported by two iron columns creating an overhang. The doors are located at each end of the front facade and in the centre and each have four flush panels with a three-pane rectangular fanlight above, all within architrave surrounds. Cottages 14 to 24 form a cohesive group.
