Description

A pair of semi-detached houses located in St Ann’s Villas, dating from 1852. The houses are built of red brick with blue brick diapering, and have a slate roof. They are designed in the Tudor style. Each house is two windows wide, featuring a two-storey canted bay with a parapet. The windows are stone mullioned and transomed, with dripmoulds; the ground floor windows have four and five lights respectively. Quoins are present. The top storey has a gable. The outer bays are set back. Four-centred headed porches with steps lead to the entrances. These houses are part of a group of twelve pairs, each with a deliberately varied design, forming a unified architectural scheme.
