Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of houses, numbered 71 to 77, including iron railings to the front steps. Numbers 73 and 75 are built of reddened brick, while numbers 71 and 77 have painted brickwork. The terrace is two storeys high with a basement, and each house has a single window. Each house has a round-headed doorway; number 75 has a modern door, while the others retain their original panelled doors with fanlights above. The windows are sash windows, some with 12 panes and others with margin glazing. The roofs are hipped and covered in slate. Iron railings are present to the front steps, and number 77 has an iron gate. At either end of the terrace, there is an extra bay, each with French windows and a cast iron balcony to the first floor. Group value is present due to the terrace’s contribution to the character of the area.
