Description
Nos 15 to 21 on Albion Drive, built in the mid-19th century, are a group of three pairs of two-storey houses with basements. Each pair features one window in the main block and one in a slightly set-back outer entrance bay. The houses are constructed of stock brick and have a stucco cornice, blocking course, and a raised central parapet inscribed with "ALBION VILLAS." The side bays have stuccoed parapet coping. Below the parapet, a brick architrave is supported by four giant pilasters with stuccoed capitals and bases, which rest on a low basement plinth. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches. The ground floor windows feature ornamental cast iron balconies. Access to the houses is via six steps leading to four-panel doors, some of which have been modernized, with rectangular fanlights set in a moulded architrave that has a cornice supported by console brackets. Nos 15 to 21 and Nos 25 and 27 form a group.
