Description
Nos 9 to 12 on Albion Square, built in the mid-19th century, form a symmetrical terrace of two-storey buildings with basements, each featuring two windows. The buildings are constructed of stock brick with stuccoed basements. The parapets of Nos 11 and 12 have been altered. The sash windows include glazing bars, with the first-floor center windows set in stucco surrounds with cornices, while the outer windows have console bracketed cornices and segmental pediments. The ground floor outer windows are tripartite with similar surrounds and a central pediment, and the inner windows are canted oriel bays. The doors, which have two long panels, are framed in flat stucco surrounds with pilasters and console bracketed cornices, although the doors for Nos 11 and 12 have been changed. Nos 1 to 12 collectively form a group with Nos 8 to 16 on Albion Drive.
