Description
Nos 13 to 16 on Albion Square, built in the mid-19th century, consist of two pairs of houses, each with two storeys and a basement, and two windows. Nos 13 and 14 are constructed of yellow stock bricks, while Nos 15 and 16 are made of grey bricks. The outer bays of Nos 13 and 14 project slightly, while the other houses are set back, creating recesses on their axes. Each house features a stucco frieze, cornice, and a blocking course, although the blocking course is missing from No 15. The first-floor windows are round-arched and paired in the centre bay, surrounded by stucco with console bracketed cornices. The tripartite ground floor windows have similar stucco surrounds with a central pediment. Some windows are sashes with glazing bars or margin lights, while others are casements. The houses also have quasi-classical prostyle porches. These buildings are included for their group value, as they form a cohesive group with Nos 13 to 22.
