Description

This is a mid-19th century pair of houses located on Albion Road. Each house is three storeys high with a basement, and features two windows. The houses are constructed of stock brick with a parapet, from which the cornice has been removed. Prominent giant Ionic pilasters, resting on a cill band on the first floor, define each house. The basement is stuccoed. The sash windows are set within moulded architraves, with console bracketed cornices above those on the first floor. Each property has a half-glazed front door, with a rectangular fanlight above, set within a stucco entablature surround. Nos. 166 to 184 (even numbers) form a notable group.
