Description

A pair of houses dating to around 1840, situated on Albion Road. The houses are built of stucco, with a slated, low-pitched roof on number 145 and a concrete-tiled, low-pitched roof on number 143. They are two storeys high with a basement and each house has a three-window frontage. Each house features a projecting, pedimented porch with square piers, containing a central entrance with a half-glazed, four-panelled door. The outer bays of each house project slightly. The windows are square-headed, with eight panes, retaining their original glazing bars. Stucco bands delineate the storeys. A cornice is visible on number 145, but has been removed from number 143. Dormer windows are recessed behind a parapet. Number 145 has a shaped gable end.
