Description
The Police Public Callbox, located at the corner of Old Broad Street and Adams Court, dates from around 1935 or earlier. It is made of cast iron and features a narrow rectangular post topped with an arched head and a circular glass lens set in a four-columned finial. The callbox has a hinged door leading to a compartment that originally contained a telephone, now with a replaced glass front. Above the door, there is a panel displaying the words 'Police public call post'.
