Description
No. 41 Threadneedle Street is a stone classical office building dating from around 1900, designed by J Macvicar Anderson. It stands 4 to 5 storeys high and is 3 bays wide, with a 3-bay return to the forecourt of No. 40. The ground storey is rusticated and features round arched windows and a doorway, both adorned with keystones carved with masks. The upper storeys have architraved windows, with those on the first storey being pedimented. There is a main cornice above the second storey, and a double attic and mansard above that. At the rear, there is a single storey wing that fronts onto Adams Court.
