Description
Nos 28 and 29 on Threadneedle Street, built in 1910 by A Pelly, are a pair of simple classical buildings. They stand three storeys high with an additional roof storey and feature seven bays. The structure is made of stone with a grey granite base. The ground floor is channelled, and there is a door framed by a grey granite architrave, topped with an oval window that has sculpted oak leaves. The first-floor windows are adorned with stone balustrades, while the second-floor windows are plain and rectangular. The building has a plain frieze and a mutule cornice, with a balustraded parapet above that includes stone dormers with segmental pediments on either side. The roof is slated and features tall chimney stacks.
