Description

The Police Public Callbox outside Mansion House is a cast iron structure dating from around 1935 or earlier. It has a narrow rectangular post with an arched top, which is topped by a circular glass lens set in a four-columned finial. The callbox features a hinged door that leads to a compartment containing a telephone, although the glass front has been replaced. Above the door, there is a panel with the words "Police public call post."
