Description

Number 15 is a detached villa built around 1827-1828, attributed to JJ Scoles. The building is finished in stucco and has three storeys, a semi-basement, and a single-storey western extension with one window. The main façade features three windows and a return to Albany Street with three windows, one of which is blind. A prominent central porch projects from the front, featuring an architraved doorway, a part-glazed door, and a cornice supported by console brackets. This cornice continues around both the porch and the building, which has a pedimented portico supported by pilasters at the corners. The entablature wraps around the building, with a blocking course over the outer bays. The ground floor windows are tripartite, with bowed sashes flanking the bays, while the extension has a canted bay with sash windows. On the first floor, the windows are architraved sashes, also featuring console bracketed cornices. The interior has not been inspected. The property includes attached stucco boundary walls capped with stone and features paired piers at the entrance.
