Description
Clarence Cottage is a detached house built in the mid-19th century. It features a stucco exterior and a hipped roof covered with slate, along with tall chimney stacks that create an L shape. The building has two storeys and includes a three-storey gabled entrance bay that is placed asymmetrically. There is a later single-storey entrance extension that faces Albany Road. The cottage has six windows in total. The entrance is highlighted by an Ionic pedimented doorcase with a panelled door. To the right of the entrance, there is a five-light transom and mullion window set in a deep splayed recess, which is adorned with a colonnette. Above the entrance, a two-light oriel window with a slated roof is flanked by two smaller windows, and there is a two-light casement window above that. To the left of the entrance bay, a narrow chimney stack rises from the ground floor, accompanied by a two-light casement window at the eaves level. To the right, there are two similar four-light casement windows. The interior has not been inspected.
