Numbers 15 and 17 and Attached Railings

Numbers 15 and 17 are two terraced houses that form the projecting end of a terrace, built around 1835 to 1845. They are constructed of yellow stock brick, with the second floors refaced, and feature rusticated stucco ground floors along with a plain first-floor sill band. The buildings rise three storeys and have basements, with two windows each. The ground floor has round-arched openings, and the doorways are adorned with fluted quarter columns, fanlights (with No. 17 featuring a radial pattern), and panelled doors. The windows are sashes with margin lights, and the upper floor sashes have gauged brick flat arches and glazing bars, while the first floor includes cast-iron balconies. Number 15 has a stucco cornice and blocking course, whereas Number 17 has a stucco parapet but is missing its cornice. The attached cast-iron railings to the areas are also notable features. The interiors have not been inspected.
