Description
Numbers 78 and 80 are two terraced houses located on the north side of Grafton Way, built in the early to mid-19th century, with some later additions. They are constructed of yellow stock brick, with the top floor mostly rebuilt and a channelled stucco ground floor. The buildings rise three storeys, with an attic and a basement. Number 78 features two windows, while Number 80 has one. Both houses have square-headed entrances with panelled doors and overlights, with Number 78 displaying a patterned overlight. The windows have gauged brick flat arches and recessed sashes, and the first floors are adorned with cast-iron balconies. A parapet crowns the buildings. Although the interiors have not been inspected, the houses are complemented by attached cast-iron railings with torch flambe finials in the areas. The north side of Grafton Way is noted for its significant group of late 18th and early 19th-century houses.
