Description
Vivary Cottage and Lavendar Cottage are a pair of semi-detached cottages built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from painted brick and feature fishscale tile hanging on the gables and dormers. The cottages have a tiled roof adorned with decorative cresting, shaped barge-boards on the gables, tall moulded brick slab stacks, and gabled dormers, showcasing a cottage ornee style. The buildings are two storeys high, with one window each on the projecting gabled wings. They have wooden porches with arched doorways and boarded doors located at the angles of the houses and wings. The windows are recessed casements, with a central segmental-arched window on the ground floor and canted bay windows on the wings, each topped with tiled penthouse roofs. The interiors have not been inspected.
