Description
The Bungalows are a pair of cottages built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from polychrome brick, primarily red, and feature a plain tile roof that is decorated with a lighter shade in a diaper pattern. The roof has brick ridge and end stacks, totaling four in number. Each cottage has a gable facing the front, and they are single-storey structures with four three-light casement windows that include top lights. The windows are topped with cambered lintels, which alternate between red and black bricks. Each cottage has a door on either side of the inner return. The brickwork is lightly striped and includes a plinth and a moulded string course that runs above the windows. The eaves are made of nogged buff brick, and there are cross ornaments in the gables. Both the facing gables and the end gables are adorned with moulded bargeboards.
