Description

Manor House, dating from the 18th century with a date of 1774 visible on a brick, is constructed of red brick with a Welsh slate twin span roof. The roof features brick ridge, valley, and rear stacks, and a wide pedimented gable to the left of the front cross wing. The building has two bands and a wooden modillion cornice that continues around the pediment and across the right gable end. Lead and brick coped gables are also present.

The building is two and two-and-a-half storeys high. The left section, of two-and-a-half storeys, has three two-light wooden mullion and transom windows. On the second floor, a small two-light window with a round arched head is centrally placed, breaking the cornice and rising into a tympanum. The section to the right is two storeys and has three six/six sash windows. Two similar sash windows are below, with a pedimented doorcase on the left. A part-glazed door and fanlight are incorporated, and further six/six sashes are on the right end of both spans. The left end has a two-and-a-half storey front with five wooden mullion and transom windows and small attic two-lights beneath the cornice. Leaded lights are present on the first and second floors. A central part-glazed door with overlight and bracketted canopy provides access, with additional six/six sashes to the rear. Gauged brick lintels are used throughout.

Inside, on the ground floor, there is a late 18th-century carved white marble fireplace inlaid with yellow marble, which was originally located on the first floor.
