Description

Numbers 21 and 22 are two terraced houses located on Great James Street in Camden. They were built in the early 18th century and refronted around 1779, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries by Levitt Bernstein Associates. The houses are constructed of multi-coloured stock brick and rise to four storeys with basements, featuring three windows each. The windows have gauged brick flat arches and are recessed with 20th-century sash designs. The parapets have been restored.

No. 21 has a wooden doorcase with pilasters that support an entablature featuring a dentil cornice, along with a patterned fanlight and a panelled door. No. 22 features a wooden architraved doorcase with half pilasters in the Tower of Winds style, also supporting an entablature with a fluted frieze and dentil cornice, along with a fanlight and a panelled door. The interiors have not been inspected. The houses are complemented by attached cast-iron railings with urn finials leading to the areas.
