Description

Numbers 115 to 117 are two terraced houses built around 1790, with No. 115 raised in the later 19th century. No. 115 features yellow stock brick and a slate mansard roof, which includes a pedimented, segmental-arched dormer window set within a brick parapet that has a brick dentil cornice below. The round-arched doorway has panelled pilaster-jambs and a cornice-head, along with a fanlight and a panelled door. There are gauged brick flat arches above the recessed sash windows, and a plain stucco band at the original first-floor sill level. The first-floor windows are adorned with cast-iron balconies.

No. 117 is constructed of darkened stock brick with a rusticated stucco ground floor and also features a slate mansard roof with dormers. Its round-arched doorway has panelled pilaster-jambs, a cornice-head, a radial patterned fanlight, and a panelled door. Similar to No. 115, it has gauged brick flat arches over recessed sash windows and a plain stucco band at the first-floor sill level, with cast-iron window guards on the first-floor windows. Both houses have a parapet.

The attached cast-iron railings with urn finials in front of the houses are also noted as subsidiary features. The interiors were not inspected.
