Terrace of 21 houses. c1821-6. Yellow stock brick with later patching, No.7, refronted. Plain stucco 1st floor sill bands and stucco cornice at 3rd floor level. Symmetrical terrace with slightly projecting end bays (return of No.240 Grays Inn Road (qv) and No.21) and central bays (Nos 7-13). 4 storeys and basements. 2 windows each. Round-arched ground floor openings; doorways with reeded surrounds, cornice-heads, fanlights (Nos 1, 5, 9, 11, 17 & 19 patterned) and panelled doors. Entrance to No.21 on return to Gough Street with C20 doorway and door. Ground floor windows to Nos 17 and 21 with margin lights; No.19 with pointed lights. Gauged brick flat arches to recessed sashes, most with glazing bars; Nos 5-15, 19 and 21 with cast-iron balconies to 1st floor windows. Parapets. INTERIORS: not inspected.
