Description
St Andrew's Gardens entrance gates, a section of the south side railings, and monuments are located in Camden. The site includes three pairs of ornamental wrought-iron entrance gates and piers dating from around 1885, with two pairs facing Gray's Inn Road and one pair facing Wren Street. The gates feature a scroll design with open-work box piers, scroll finials, and overthrows. There is also a length of cast-iron railing along the southern boundary in Wren Street, topped with urn finials. The garden, which was consecrated in 1754 and is now a public park, contains several 18th-century tombs, most of which have weathered inscriptions, with one tomb dated 1763. The entrance gates, railing, and monuments together form a cohesive group.
