Description
Number 139 is a house located at the end of a terrace on Gray's Inn Road, built around 1811 to 1820 and altered since. It features multi-coloured stock brick, with some areas refaced, and has a slated mansard roof with dormers. The building stands three storeys high, plus an attic and basement, and is double-fronted with three windows. The entrance has a stucco doorway surround with pilasters and a modified enriched entablature, along with a patterned radial fanlight and a panelled, partly glazed door. The windows have gauged brick flat arches and are recessed sashes. A parapet crowns the building. The attached cast-iron railings in front of the property are also noted as subsidiary features. The interior has not been inspected.
