Description

Number 165 is a terraced house built around 1811 to 1820 and later refronted in the late 20th century. The house is constructed of multi-coloured stock brick with a plain stucco band at the first-floor sill level. It is three storeys high with a basement and has a double-fronted facade with three windows. The door surround is made of stucco and features pilasters, oval paterae, brackets, and a projecting cornice. It has a radial fanlight grille and 20th-century double-panelled doors. The windows have gauged brick flat arches and were originally accompanied by balconies on the first floor. There is a parapet to the roof. The interior of the property was not inspected during the listing process. Attached cast-iron railings are present to the areas. The group value of the house stems from its contribution to the architectural character of the street.
