Description
Nos 24 to 26 on Nethergate Street are a range of cottages that date back to the 17th century or earlier. Originally timber-framed and plastered, they were re-fronted in the early 19th century and are now faced with roughcast. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a four-window range, with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars on the ground floor and casements on the first floor. Nos 25 and 26 have central paired doorways. The roofs are tiled, and the interiors reveal some exposed timber-framing. These cottages are part of a group that includes several other listed buildings on the southeast side of the street.
