Description
Medina House is a late 18th century or early 19th century timber-framed and plastered house located on the south-east side of Nethergate Street in Clare. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars, set in flush cased frames. Notably, the window above the garage entrance is a horizontal sliding sash. The entrance doorway is adorned with a stucco doorcase that includes a semi-circular fanlight, pilasters decorated with acanthus leaf ornamentation at the capitals, and an open pediment. The roof is covered with slate. Medina House is part of a group with Nos 1 to 9 (consecutive) on the north-west side of Nethergate Street and all the listed buildings on the south side of Well Lane.
